The Best Western Falcondale Mansion Hotel understands that it has a responsibility to help protect and sustain the local, national and global environment.
The directors take this responsibility very seriously and are already undertaking a number of energy saving measures in the hope of further diminishing our carbon footprint.
By working together as a team, we, as a hotel, hope to increase awareness and understanding of these environmental issues to create a safe and clean environment for future generations.
Green Credentials
We aim to :
1. Ensure legal compliance with environmental legislation and strive to exceed industry best practice
2. Ensure that all staff members are aware of their duty of care to the environment through in house training and encourage them to participate in the creation of new energy saving ideas and working methods
3. Encourage biodiversity of flora and fauna in and on our grounds
4. Reduce the consumption of raw materials, water and fuels
5. Measure and record our current energy consumption and strive to reduce it year by year by a set target in areas such as :
a. Water consumption
b. Energy consumption
c. Waste production
Regularly check our progress made with targets set and adapt them accordingly.
6. Promote our environmental policy to all guests and customers to increase awareness
7. Increase our use of recyclable or renewable resources, and only use products and services with minimal environmental impact or high energy efficiency
8. Conduct regular reviews of our energy consumption and to make sure we are complying with our environmental policy
9. Ensure that all employees are provided with a copy of this statement and have all the information and training necessary to comply with this policy.
