Lampeter Ramblers Lampeter Walks Coastal1

Walking and Rambling

There are vast opportunities for walkers and ramblers around Lampeter and the counties of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. Visit the local ramblers page to see whether there are any planned walks during your time here at Lampeter. Non-members are always welcome as long as they follow the set guidelines.

If you happen to get a "little" wet there is a drying room available at the hotel, making your coats and boots nice and cosy for next time.

Falcondale is set 1 mile outside of Lampeter and there are numerous walks available using the hotel as a base. There are basic leaflets available from reception to use as a guide, these include: -

> Longwood Walk - spectacular when the bluebells are out, this walk takes you along the North Drive, through some pine trees, and into Longwood. You return via Maestir road and up the South Drive
> Riverside Walk - fabulous when its dry, this walk takes you down the South drive, through some fields and along the Teifi river and Creuddyn stream. A perfect walk to include some browing in Lampeter town, before returning up the South Drive

You may borrow or buy a "lampeter walks" book which will show you other routes that will take you around Cwmman, iron age hill forts, upper forest and more riverside walks.

If you prefer to be a little more adventurous you may borrow or buy an ordance survey Explorer Map of the area. Have the pleasure of discovering Llanerchaeron national trust property on route to Aberaeron, or the Sarn Helen Roman Road near Llangeitho.

Guided Walks

For a different view of the area why not hire a guide for a day. Your guide will be able to show you the very best that the Cambrian Mountains have to offer and adjust the walks to your abilities. Visit Twm Treks for full details of this fabulous service.
